I am delighted to announce details of the 2009 Ladies Blackball Pool Tour which
will commence on 21st March, 2009. This is the fourth year of the ladies tour
and this year a new partnership with Riley Clubs in Scotland commences for the
ladies. Dates for this year’s tour are noted below and I will confirm the Riley
Club being used for each event in your tour entry confirmation letter but will
most probably be Glasgow and Penicuik. Event No. 1 – Saturday 21st March, 2009. Event No. 2 – Saturday 20th June, 2009. Event No. 3 – Saturday 5th September, 2009. Event No. 4 – Saturday 31st October, 2009. Event No. 5 (Grand Final) – Saturday 5th December, 2009. Cost of entry to the tour is £50.00 registration fee and £10.00 per event except the grand final which will cost £20.00 (total cost £110.00). I would be obliged if you could fill in the enclosed entry form and send a cheque, made payable to Scottish Ladies Pool Team for either the £50.00 registration fee or for the full amount of £110.00. Closing date for entries will be 1st March, 2009. If you wish to pay the tour up per event, this will require to be sanctioned by me in advance, no exceptions. The top eight players from last year’s tour will be seeded for the 2009 season. The ranking system will run over a two year period. Once again this year, at the end of all five events the top eight Scottish players in the rankings will be GUARANTEED an international place in either the Scotland Ladies A or one of the B teams for the following season. Please note that the tour is a compulsory event for all international players. If you choose not to enter the tour you will not be selected to play internationally for that season – no exceptions. I would also like to inform you at this stage that there may be ladies from other Countries entering this tour but stress this will not impact on international selection through the ranking system explained above. There will also be a plate competition, with a little added twist – 14/1, speed pool, 10 ball crash, 1 frame event and a best of 3 event, a different one at each event, for players knocked out in the first and second rounds which will cost £5.00 to enter – all money in, all money out. |
