Scottish Ladies Tour - Event 4
Hustlers, Rosyth

The venue for the 2011 Ladies Blackball Tour Event 4 was Hustlers in Rosyth. With the 2011 Scottish Ladies Singles Championship only a week away, there was a very good turnout for this event. Once again, as ladies team manager it pleases me to say that once again there was some cracking pool played throughout this event by various players.

2011 Scottish Ladies Tour - Event 3

The venue for the 2011 Ladies Blackball Tour Event No. 3 was Cue Here in Airdrie. As usual Gary and Annette were there to open the venue for a later start of 12 noon. The tables were up to their usual fantastic condition for the third event of the series. A further two new entries at this event, welcome is extended to Michelle Cohen and Karlyn Coghill, I hope you enjoy playing in the remainder of the 2011 series. It pleases me to say that once again there was some cracking pool played throughout this event.

Scottish Ladies Tour - Event 2
Cue Here, Airdrie

The venue for the 2011 Ladies Blackball Tour Event No. 2 was the well known Cue Here in Airdrie. As usual Annette was there to open the venue for a 10.00am start and the tables were in fantastic condition for the second event of the series. Thirty six ladies have intimated their intention to play in this year’s series and a few new players are welcomed to the fold at event 2 stage; Welsh B internationalist Michelle Jackson, Irish Ladies B internationalist Andrea Neil and English Ladies B internationalist Becky Leckey were in attendance. Welcome ladies, I hope you all enjoy the series in 2011.

2011 SCOTTISH LADIES BLACKBALL POOL TOUR
Event No. 1 – 26th March 2011
Hustlers, Rosyth

The venue was the well known Hustler’s Pool Hall, Rosyth for the first event in the 2011 series. Daz and Tracey made the ladies feel very welcome in the venue as usual and the tables were in fantastic condition for the event. Thirty two ladies have intimated their intention to play in this year’s events and a few new players are welcomed to the fold; including Donna McComb and Rachel Sutherland, both Shetland A internationalists, Sonia Tingley, Welsh B internationalist. Scotland B internationalist Jane Doig made her return to the tour series this year as well, so welcome girls, hope you all enjoy the series in 2011.


The top 10 finalised rankings for 2010 were as follows and credit to Linda Gillies who retained the No. 1 spot for the second year in succession.

The venue for the 2010 Scottish Ladies Singles was Darren Adamson and Tracy Farrel's venue, Hustlers Pool Hall in Rosyth, for the second year running.

Defending champion Linda Gillies was in attendance over the weekend attempting to win a record 9th Scottish singles title. The inaugural Scottish Seniors Championships was running alongside the event so there was plenty of pool to watch for the local residents

2010 Scotch Doubles

The new event on the calendar saw 10 pairings enter the first event. The format consisted of one A team international per team and was played at the same time as tour event 4

2010 SCOTTISH LADIES BLACKBALL POOL TOUR
Event No. 4 – 30th October, 2010.
Cue Here, Airdrie.

The fourth event of this year’s series was held once again in Cue Here, Airdrie. The club is run by Gary Cunningham and without a doubt it is a fantastic venue for pool in the Lanarkshire area of Scotland.

The 2010 Scottish Mixed Doubles Championship took place in the Chieftain Hotel, Inverness on the weekend of 16th & 17th October, 2010. Defending champions and local players Iain Gillies/Linda Gillies were in attendance trying to win the title two years in succession. It was not to be however, as Katie Paterson from Falkirk and Gavin Phillips (pictured below) from Inverness took the 2010 title.

The Scotland ladies team (pictured) consisting of Krystyna Goudie, Fiona Herd, Terri Lapsley, Katie Paterson, Laura Colquhoun, Gemma Clyde, Gemma Keenan, Jacky Williamson and Lisa Dominick travelled to Rhyl, North Wales to compete in the 2010 EBA B team European Championships. The event was held in Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park from 7th until 10th October, 2010.

2010 SCOTTISH LADIES BLACKBALL POOL TOUR
Event No. 3 – 28th August, 2010

The third event of this year’s series provided the ladies with yet another new Venue hosting its first ladies tour event. Cue Here in Airdrie is run by Gary Cunningham and it is a fantastic venue for pool in the Lanarkshire area of Scotland.

With the inaugural Pools Got Talent on in the evening it provided the tour with players from as far afield as Wisbech and Cardiff. Event two winner Claire Dempster was in attendance looking to make it “two in a row”.

I am delighted that I can today announce details for this years ladies scottish singles championship. The event is being held in Hustlers Rosyth on the weekend of 11th & 12th December, 2010. This year our event is being run alongside the Seniors national championship.


As the Scottish Singles is the premier event in our domestic calendar, attendance at this event is once again compulsory for all Scotland Ladies International Pool Players. Entry form will be emailed to everyone between tonight and tomorrow and of course available as a download on both the ladies and main spa site.

Please note that the SPA Dress Code applies for this tournament (polo shirt, dress trousers & shoes). No denims, leggings or trainers will be permitted.

Closing date for entries is 30th November, 2010 so please get the form filled in and returned to me as soon as possible. Please send a cheque for £10.00 (made payable to Scottish Ladies Pool Team) along with your entry form.
